ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS OF COVID-19. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death, and there is an inherent danger and risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any place where people are present even to those who have been vaccinated. No health and safety policies, assessments, precautions and/or protocols either we, the venues where we hold events or any level of government can implement can eliminate the risk of exposure to COVID-19. While people of all ages and health conditions can be adversely affected by COVID-19, per the CDC: (i) people with certain underlying medical conditions are or may be especially vulnerable, and (ii) the risk of severe illness from COVID 19 increases steadily with age. Exposure to COVID-19 can result in subsequent quarantine, illness, disability, other short-term and long-term physical and/or mental health effects, and/or death.

In light of the ongoing spread of COVID-19, individuals who fall within any of the categories below are encouraged to consider carefully how they want to participate in Lawrence St. Patrick's Day Parade events and/or other in-person fundraising activities. By attending a Lawrence St. Patrick's Day Parade event, you certify that you: (1) have not experienced any symptoms associated with COVID-19, which include fever, cough, and shortness of breath, within the last fourteen (14) days; (2) have not travelled in the last fourteen (14) days to any places that the CDC considers a COVID-19 hotspot; (3) have not been exposed to a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 or been diagnosed with COVID-19 within the last fourteen (14) days.

The Lawrence St. Patrick's Day Parade encourages all participants to listen to their doctor's advice and/or CDC guidelines regarding getting vaccinated, socially distancing, wearing masks, and regularly washing their hands. However, the Lawrence St. Patrick's Day Parade cannot guarantee compliance of all participants, volunteers, partners, or others in attendance. By purchasing a ticket, registering, volunteering, or otherwise attending or participating in an event held or sponsored by the Lawrence St. Patrick's Day Parade, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 and release, waive, and forever discharge any and all liability, claims, and demands against the Lawrence St. Patrick's Day Parade, its board and committee for exposure to COVID-19.
